Our botanicals
We work with crops that grow well in Tanzania and transform them into oils, butters, essential oils and extracts for cosmetics, food and wellness applications.
We produce steam-distilled mint, eucalyptus and orange essential oils. Women farmers in Tanga grow mint between their cocoa and mango trees, while women in Iringa collect eucalyptus leaves from the forest. Our oils are distilled at our Tanga hub.
We produce cold-pressed mango butter, cocoa butter, baobab oil and orange seed oil. Many are made from seeds and fruit that might otherwise be discarded.
We produce food-grade cocoa, baobab and orange powders for food, drinks, beauty and wellness applications. We also source powders and oils from Dodoma, with each ingredient linked to its region and harvest season.

Every Mrembo product begins with farmers we know. We process close to our sourcing communities and maintain records for every batch.
We buy directly from 1,000 women farmers. Our wider network includes more than 10,000 farmers trained in organic farming by Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT) and in financial literacy by the CRDB Bank Foundation.
Founded and led by Irene Simon Ivambi in 2021.
We buy directly from farmers, agree on a price before harvest, collect the crop and pay on delivery.
Our products carry QR codes showing the farmer, harvest date and cooperative.
Our processing hub is in Tanga (Muheza), close to our farmers. We also source from Iringa and Dodoma, helping keep jobs and value closer to farming communities.
